Returns, Refunds and Lifetime Warranty Policy

The following Refunds, Returns and Warranties Policy applies to Vont physical products offered as part of the Vont Services (herein the “Products”). This Policy is in addition to, and not in lieu of, your rights and obligations under the Vont Terms of Service (the “Terms”), which are incorporated fully by reference herein. If there is a conflict between this Policy and the Terms, this Policy will control for that conflict. Capitalized terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings assigned to them in the Terms. ​​If there is a conflict between this Policy and mandatory requirements prescribed by law based on the location of purchase or your jurisdiction of residence, those mandatory legal requirements will necessarily prevail.

1. RETURN POLICY

Vont hopes that you will be pleased with your Product. However, if for any reason you decide to return a Product that you purchased from or through our website, app, or any other of the Vont Services, you must notify Vont and return the Product to us within thirty (30) calendar days of the date the Product was delivered to you by the carrier. Reasons may include but not be limited to an item being damaged in transit or not as described. 

The Product must be returned in the same original package the Product was/is housed (in other words, the Product Packaging, but not necessarily the shipping packaging), and in the same condition as it was delivered to you. If you are concerned there will be any doubt in this area, it is always advisable to photograph a Product which arrived damaged or not as described, and to include photos along with your return request. We reserve the right to withhold refunds for Products that do not meet these conditions, or for other good reasons in our sole discretion. 

Vont will not accept returns of Products purchased from retailers other than Vont, including authorized retailers. Those Products are subject to each retailer’s return policies and Vont disclaims any liability with respect to the return of Products under such circumstances. 

Vont does not take ownership of returned Products until the Product is received by Vont. Once the Product you are returning has been received and processed, and subject to Vont’s discretion, Vont will issue a refund to the original payment method used to purchase the Product. If the Product was purchased with a gift card, Vont will issue a gift card for the refund amount. The refund amount will include the purchase price of the returned Product and any associated sales tax. Unless prohibited by law, any shipping and handling charges paid for in connection with the original purchase will not be refunded.

For items given or received as a gift, Vont will, at its discretion, replace a Product, provided that the recipient of the gift provides photos indicating the issue and showing the Vont logo, and that all other conditions of this section are met.  

2. HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN

To make a return request, please fill out a support ticket with “Returns” as the support topic. The support ticket must be submitted to the same Vont Service through which you placed your original order with us. In your support ticket, please provide the order number or sales invoice provided by Vont when the Product was purchased. If the Product arrived damaged or not as described, photos may, but are not guaranteed, to assist in expediting our reply to your return request.    

Once your return request is processed, Vont will provide you with return instructions and a prepaid shipping label for returning the Product from the country where the Product was originally shipped by Vont. To be sure the Product arrives in its original condition, package and ship it using the label and instructions provided by Vont. Ship the Product to Vont with any and all accessories that came with the Product and with the Product Packaging within ten (10) business days of Vont providing you with return instructions. Failure to do so may result in Vont rejecting the return of the Product you are returning.

You will be informed by e-mail once Vont receives and has processed your return. If, as reasonably determined by Vont, a Product shipped to Vont is ineligible for return, Vont will not be responsible for returning the ineligible Product back to you. Vont has no obligations with respect to Products ineligible for return.

3. LIMITED WARRANTY

Vont stands by the quality of its Products. Therefore, warrants to the original purchaser of the Product, or the recipient of a Vont Product as a gift, that the Product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase of the Product from Vont (the “Limited Warranty” during the “Limited Warranty Period”). Vont may, at its sole option during the Limited Warranty Period, either: (a) replace any defective Product or component of the Product, or (b) accept the return of the Product and refund the money actually paid by the original purchaser of the Product: (i) to the payment method used by the purchaser, (ii) as Vont store credit, or (iii) as a gift card. The Limited Warranty is subject to reasonable use of any Product and in accordance with any accompanying instructions or directions. 

Replacements may be made with new or refurbished Products or components of Products, at Vont’s sole discretion. Any replacement Product received by you will be covered by an additional Limited Warranty for the longer of: (a) three (3) months from the date of receipt of the replacement Product; or (b) the remaining Limited Warranty Period on the replaced Product.

4. LIFETIME WARRANTY

Vont provides another more expansive warranty that its Products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the duration of the use of the Product (the “Lifetime Warranty” for an unexpired “Lifetime Warranty Period”). To access the Lifetime Warranty, please register at https://vont.com/register-warranty/ within three (3) calendar days from the time the Product is received. All terms and conditions of the Limited Warranty apply to the Lifetime Warranty, without expiration.

 

5. WHAT THE LIMITED AND LIFETIME WARRANTIES DO NOT COVER

The Limited and Lifetime Warranties do not cover the following:

  • Products submitted after the expiration of the Limited Warranty Period (where applicable); 
  • Products submitted without valid proof of purchase; 
  • Products returned from outside countries where Vont ships Products; 
  • Products purchased from unauthorized retailers; 
  • Products provided by Vont or its designee for promotional purposes without charge; 
  • Products on which repairs have been attempted; 
  • Products damaged due to misuse, abuse, negligence, or other use not in accordance with the Product’s express instructions or directions; 
  • Products that have been modified; 
  • Products damaged from an act of nature, natural disasters or willful act of destruction by a third person or entity; 
  • Products that have been lost or stolen.

5. HOW TO INITIATE A LIMITED OR LIFETIME WARRANTY CLAIM

To file a Limited or Lifetime Warranty claim, please fill out a support ticket with “Warranty Claim” as the support topic. In your support ticket, be sure to describe the Product that is the subject of the Limited or Lifetime Warranty claim, describe in detail the issue that you are experiencing with the Product, and provide valid proof of your purchase. Valid proofs of purchase may be either:

  • an order number or sales invoice, if your Product was purchased from Vont; or
  • a dated sales receipt that includes a description of the Product and the price paid, if your Product was purchased from an authorized retailer; or
  • If you received the Product as a gift, a photo of the Vont logo on the Product. 

Vont may require you to return the Product in order to process your Limited or Lifetime Warranty claim. If you are required to return the Product, Vont will provide you with a prepaid shipping label and return instructions, and you must fully comply with Vont’s shipping instructions. If, as reasonably determined by Vont, a Product that is not eligible for a Limited or Lifetime Warranty claim is shipped to Vont, Vont will not be responsible for returning the Product. Vont has no obligations with respect to Products ineligible for its Limited or Lifetime Warranties. 

6. DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND RELEASE

The Limited and Lifetime Warranties expressly stated in this Policy are the exclusive warranties given by Vont. The Limited and Lifetime Warranties supersede any prior, contrary or additional representations, whether oral or written. No person, including agents and employees of Vont, is authorized to give any further representation or warranty or assume any further obligation on behalf of Vont, whether orally or in writing. VONT HEREBY DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARISING BY LAW OR OTHERWISE, WITH RESPECT TO ANY NONCONFORMANCE OR DEFECT IN THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, (A) ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY THAT A PRODUCT WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR USABLE IN AN UNINTERRUPTED FASHION; (B) ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE; (C) ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, COURSE OF DEALING, OR USAGE OF TRADE; (D) ANY OBLIGATION, LIABILITY, RIGHT, CLAIM OR REMEDY IN TORT, WHETHER OR NOT ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF VONT OR THE PRODUCT’S MANUFACTURER. To the extent that the law requires any implied warranty, such implied warranty is limited to the duration of the two (2) years express warranty given above. This disclaimer and release shall apply even if the express warranties fail of their essential purposes.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

7. EXCLUSION OF CONSEQUENTIAL AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES

VONT SHALL HAVE NO OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY, WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT (INCLUDING WARRANTY) TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, A PRODUCT OR ARISING OUT OF ANY NONCONFORMITY OR DEFECT IN A PRODUCT, OR DEFECT IN ANY SERVICE PROVIDED UNDER THE LIMITED OR LIFETIME WARRANTIES. This exclusion applies even if Vont has been advised of the possibility of such damages. This exclusion applies even if the applicable warranty fails of its essential purposes and regardless of whether such damages are sought for breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, or strict liability in tort or under any legal theory.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
